If you operate your qualified vehicle in only one member jurisdiction and make occasional trips outside the base jurisdiction, you may purchase trip permits, which are available from major truck stop.

Yes, you must submit a ‘zero’ report even if no taxable fuel was used.
What is the penalty and interest rate for filing a late quarterly fuel tax report?
A penalty of $50.00 or 10% of the net tax liability, whichever is greater, will be assessed on late-filed reports, failure to file, or for underpayment of tax due. If the tax liability is zero or a credit, the late filing penalty will still be $50.00. The penalty for Late filing is $50 plus 10% of taxes due only for the state Nevada.

Surcharges are additional charges which are instructed by certain states. Surcharges applicable to only three states IN, KY, VA.
What are all IFTA miles?
The miles which the truck is in operation for business purpose comes under IFTA miles
What are Non-IFTA miles?
The miles which are non – taxable. Any miles driven in a state that does not participate in IFTA are non IFTA miles.
